The St. Regis Abu Dhabi effortlessly combines authentic Arabian hospitality with over a hundred years of bespoke St. Regis tradition. The hotel offers direct access to the private Nation Riviera Beach Club, inclusive of a health and fitness center, kids club and a wonderful renovated swimming pool in addition to its’ sandy beach. Adjacent to Nation Galleria Mall with more than 60 retail shops, a cinema and a variety of entertainment options, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is also in close proximity to the trendy and sophisticated district of Al Bateen, Qasr Al Watan, Emirates Palace and many of the Embassies, Oil and Gas Companies or business institutions of the city. Being a luxury hotel, yet crafting boutique experiences, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is the social epicenter for royalty and luminaries in the art of residential living at West Corniche.

The St Regis Abu Dhabi has one of the city’s best beach clubs, with a good stretch of pristine white sand to call its own. It also hosts monthly sunset soirées on its helipad during the cooler months, and is home to the world’s highest suspended hotel suite.

This five-star twin towers property sits on the Corniche Road, and is within walking distance of Emirates Palace and the capital’s new Founding Father Memorial. The airport is a 30-minute drive away, while Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi are 12 to 18 miles away.

The dual staircase and glass-blown chandeliers in the lobby epitomise grandeur. There are no check-in counters in sight upon entry, just a rich, palatial space designed to blend elements of St. Regis’s flagship New York hotel with those of the Arabic culture. The colour palette reflects the desert landscape and the luxury Art Deco approach is complemented by calligraphic artworks and Islamic geometric motifs.

St. Regis is renowned for its complimentary butler service. On my visit, interactions with the team were mostly positive, although a room service staff member did let himself into my room unannounced and my bags were not collected as requested upon checkout. Some restaurant employees also had to be reminded multiple times about requests. This aside, The Nation Riviera Beach Club with its private beach, lap pool, and Treasure Island kids’ club is a great place to spend the day.

Plush beds wrapped in crisp, 300-thread-count white linens guarantee a restful night’s sleep; serene marble bathrooms enhance the rejuvenating experience, thanks to dual vanities, spacious bathtubs, and separate showers with rain shower heads, exclusive Remède bath amenities.

The Restaurants

There are seven bars and restaurants within the hotel and several more in the adjoining mall. The refined Crystal Lounge is ideal for a classy pre-dinner gathering or afternoon tea; it’s renowned for its champagne selection. . Azura Panoramic Lounge is the choice for a sundowner, shisha and traditional Arabic mezze, while Villa Toscana is the standout Italian option.
Breakfast is served in the all-day dining restaurant The Terrace On The Corniche. There’s no excuse for leaving hungry, with stations for just about everything, including Arabic food, cold meats and cheeses, eggs (think vegetarian muffins and poached eggs with quinoa), breads, fruits and juices. This restaurant also does a Friday brunch.
